'Jal cyclone' looms large,tensions high on coast!
The depression that has formed over the Bay of Bengal which now turned into a cyclone is moving towards the westwards.The meteorological department has named the cyclone as 'JAL'
Currently the JAL cyclone is located 900 kms east of Chennai and 1100 kms east of Visakhapatnam. The cyclone is expected to cross the east coast by Sunday.Heavy rainfall with 60kms/hour winds is expected to lash the coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
If the Jal cyclone moves in the same direction then maximum damage might occur for Chennai and if the cyclone moves northwest then the maximum brunt will be for coastal Andhra.In A.P the Nellore and Prakasam districts are on the high alert mode as these two districts will have the maximum effect.
Collectors of both the districts have alerted the fishermen not to venture into the seas and declared holiday for all the schools on Saturday.
Meanwhile the people are celebrating the deepavali festival as of now with much fervour.
